Many people don't realize that having me as your Realtor is commission free, since I am paid a commission from the seller of the home you choose. Would you go to court without a lawyer? Of course not! So, why would you buy a home without a Realtor? I've helped over 140 clients find their dream home, which means you'll have the benefit of my experience on your side.

Finding the home of your dreams is not an easy task. It takes patience, an open mind, and open communication. To kick that off, I like to have an informal meeting at my office called, Lindsay's Crash Course in Real Estate (it's not as scary as it sounds, I promise).

Whether you're a property virgin, or an experienced vet, it's always good to get up to speed on the latest and greatest in the real estate world. At this informal meeting, we'll cover financing options, lender recommendations, your wants and needs, how we'll work together, and the home buying process from A to Z. You will also have the opportunity to ask me any questions you have. Information is power, and I want you to be well informed. Of course you're not required to remember it all, that's my job!

Getting pre-qualified for a loan is the next step (unless you are buying with cash). Should you go with a FHA or conventional loan? What's the difference in financing a condo, coop, or single family home? We'll cover all of that at our first meeting, so you'll feel confident discussing your loan options with the lender of your choice. Onto the next step, house hunting! We will see as many places as we need to in order to find the one. It can take anywhere from one day to 1 year to find that place you'd like to call home, so patience is sometimes needed. Communication is also very important, because your preferences can change as you're getting your feet wet. Overall, this should be the fun part and where I get to know you the best.

Eventually we'll find that place you just can't live without. I will help you put together your offer, negotiate with the sellers, update the mortgage and title companies, arrange inspections, review settlement information, and get you to closing on-time. My job is to handle the details, so you don't have to.
